Biography

Dr. Nitza I. Alvarez is the oldest of 10 siblings, something which has shaped the way she approaches every aspect of her working life.

Born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Dr. Alvarez is fluent in both English and Spanish languages. She completed medical school with honors, becoming a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society – Gamma Chapter. Her membership in such a prestigious professional medical organization was recognition for her continued excellence in scholarship and her demonstration of the highest ideals in the profession of medicine. It’s a passion for her work that she still holds to this day.

After completing her formal studies, she moved to Albany, NY, where she completed her residency in Internal Medicine and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Diseases. It’s at this point that she chose to move to Florida, where she has been providing early intervention care for her patients ever since.
